Kaleidoscope was announced to be the design of the year at the leader in the planning world, Erin Condren. At the time I was working as the in house video producer and thought to myself, why not build a giant… I mean GIANT kaleidoscope to film inside? It all took off from there…
Step 1: THE BUILD
Prototype 1
So heavy, so large, and interior edges of mirrors weren’t quite PERFECT. And for video they needed to be PERFECT. Yes, my triple virgo alignment really came through for this one. (Don’t tell my astronomy club members I said that).
Third attempt: SUCCESS!!!
Updated lighter material for the mirrors and with sticky wallpaper with the design printed. Chef’s kiss.
